Style, class, aesthetics, fun and more. Vielka and Winnie celebrated their wedding reception surrounded by family and friends who wrapped them in love. We are truly proud and honored to have been asked to photograph this event. The reception was at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena.

Featuring elements from both partner’s family heritages, this was a very moving and special wedding ceremony. Check out the Panamanian dance troop at the end!

One of our favorite events so far this year. Vielka and Winnie’s wedding day. We shot these two love birds for two engagement sessions, one ending up with a food fight in their beautiful kitchen at their home in Santa Monica, and the other featuring them dressed as ninjas! Anyway, here are shots from the big day.

These first shots of of the gallery of our photographs that show the work and effort the couple’s family and friends put into the production of the event. One of the most moving parts of the show is when the couple walk through this room as they come out of the ceremony to go into the reception. This is how they found out what had gone on. Very emotional moment! And our photography was at the heart of it. You can then see the beautiful movie posters on the stage, these were created using the portraits that we had shot on the first day. As you can see, the flowers and decor of the reception room were stupendous.

The room looks wonderful, the gospel choir is singing, the wedding party and guests are ready…wow!
The problem for us as photographers though was that we had to play 2nd fiddle to the TV cameras and the production. We couldn’t get near the action during the ceremony, and the only place we were allowed to stand we couldn’t really see so well even with our super long zooms. We are all about keeping a low profile during the ceremonies, but this was tricky for us. We knew that the TV coverage would get moving images the viewing audience wanted, but it was strange being so disconnected. The special moments we always cherish, such as catching the couple as they came out of the processional, had to be grabbed at risk of being physically hurled out of the way by a video camera operator. It’s all crazy in TV land, people!

A Rolls Royce for the bride, a Bentley for the groom, everyone dressed to the nines, and the bride’s father ready to walk her down the aisle. What else do you need for the perfect wedding!
