We’ve been saving this piece of news
The most exciting food photography project we took on over the last year was the book by Los Angeles based chef, catering industry motivational speaker extraordinaire, owner of Good Gracious Events and now author, Pauline Parry. We did all the photography in the book and it was launched at the Catersource event a couple of weeks ago. It is available from “foodfunlove.com“. Here is Pauline doing the first of her many book signings.
This was exciting! One of our photos was chosen to be on the Catersource Las Vegas 2009 conference tote bag. 5000 folk carrying our photo around with them! It was much fun to be chatting to people at the event and then when they asked what kind of things we photographed we would just point to the bag they were carrying! Oh, and Naomi is “discretely” holding the two books that feature our photography that were also launched at this show…
We got a delivery today of a new book, “Green Weddings” by New York Times Staff Writer Mireya Navarro that we provided photography for. If you check out our “CLIENT LOVE” section you will see a wonderful couple, Katie and Joe. They are very involved in all things green; something that we particularly support as much as possible in our every day business life. They had a “green” wedding – well not literally! The other colors were wonderful too! Heh. Anyway, their wedding is featured in the new book and we are prouder than heck to have some of our photographs in it. Here it is!
No one was prouder than we were! At the Catersource Conference in Las Vegas, Joanne got the big gong – the ICA 2009 Chef of the Year award! We congratulate her and are so happy that she won. The competition was very strong and the capacity crowd was holding it’s collective breath until the very end winning announcement. We have truly enjoyed working with her very much on all the various projects during the past year and can’t wait until the next one!
Most folk know us as wedding and boudoir photographers, but actually Will has a long history of commercial photography, and has an active parallel career shooting food. The past few months have been very exciting as several recent commercial photography jobs have really taken off. Here is ICA 2009 Chef of the Year Joanne Purnell at her book signing at the Catersource Conference in Las Vegas last week. We did all the photography for her chapter in the book. We’re very proud of her!
When people ask us at parties “And, what exactly do you photograph?” We tell them we shoot “love, sex and food“! Or to put it another way, we shoot stylin’ weddings, steamy boudoir and yummy food
And talking of yumminess, we just finished a commercial food shoot for the new 2009 ICA Chef of the Year, Joanne Purnell. We photographed some super scrummy dishes for her chapter in the new ICA cook book “Inside the Recipe Book of the Catering Chef”. This is a terrific new book featuring 12 of the nation’s best chefs sharing their culinary secrets for entertaining. Here’s some pages that Will did all the food photography for:
